On 17 November 2011, Pablo Garcia Borboroglu, gave a talk—which was open to the community, including decision makers, travel agents, tour guides, students, and other interested groups—about penguins and marine conservation issues. The talk was organized by the Global Penguin Society, the National Research Council Institute in Puerto Madryn, and the Secretary of Culture. Also, for the third year in a row, Borboroglu organized a trip for children from Argentina and South Africa in which he gave talks and took them to visit the nearby penguin colony. “These kids will decide the fate of the penguins so we need them to value them more,” he said.
